This Scottish gold nugget displays a rich, rugged character, with deep surface textures and pitted formations that reveal its ancient geological journey. The smoother areas show where the nugget has been naturally burnished by centuries of river movement, while the rougher sections mark the places where it was once locked within surrounding rock. Quartz inclusions can be clearly seen, evidence of the host material in which the gold originally formed around before being freed by the forces of nature.
